Terms & Conditions for Cover Designs
PAYMENTS
Deposit
A non-refundable deposit of 40% is required to secure a project booking. Projects are not confirmed nor will they begin until the deposit has been received.
Final Payment
The remaining balance must be paid before final files are delivered. Failure to complete payment may result in suspension of the project. Clients are responsible for currency conversions, transfer fees and any bank charges.
Pricing
All prices listed on https://svcreativeweb.com are subject to review at any time. Quoted prices are valid for thirty (30) days unless otherwise specified by SV Creative.
Refunds & Cancellations
The 40% booking deposit is non-refundable. Clients may cancel up until a week before the project start date with no additional charge. If the project is cancelled after this but before the start date, a small fee will be charged due to short notice. If the project is cancelled on or after the project start date, the full amount of the services will be charged in full.
COPYRIGHT & LICENSING
Copyright Information
SV Creative retains full ownership and rights of the design. The design concepts, including layout, image style, colors, placement, and fonts, cannot be recreated, altered or modified by any person other than SV Creative.
Licensing
All designs created by SV Creative include a standard license for any imagery or fonts used. This license is suitable for up to 500,000 units and does not include use for any other medium (i.e. merch, stickers, labels etc.) The client will need to contact SV Creative in the event that the book exceeds 500,000 units sold or they wish to use the design elsewhere in other mediums.
Client-Provided Stock Imagery
Clients may request that a certain image be used in the design. In such a case, the client is responsible for licensing this image and they maintain the rights to the image used. The design as a whole and any extra details remain under ownership of SV Creative. The client agrees to indemnify SV Creative from any copyright and permission infringement action resulting from materials client provides.
AI Usage
SV Creative does not use AI in any design. Mistakes can happen, such as reputable websites incorrectly tagging images. In the case of an accidental use of AI imagery, SV Creative will remove and replace the affected asset at no additional cost to the client.
The client is prohibited from putting the design and any elements inside it into any AI program. The artwork may not be used to generate derivative content using AI tools.
Design Credit
SV Creative requires credit for the design to be placed inside the clients book, whether on the back cover or inside the copyright page.

ADDITIONAL TERMS
Series Continuity
If the author intends for a book to be part of a series, this must be stated during booking. The initial cover design includes only the book contracted for. Future covers within the same series are not automatically included or reserved and must be booked separately. SV Creative does not guarantee availability for future series installments. If the client wishes to have another designer complete the book series, written permission from SV Creative is required.
Design Alterations After Delivery
Once final files have been delivered, the client may not:
Revisions
Three significant revisions are included in the cost of services. Any further revisions will incur an additional fee.
Premades
If the client purchases a pre-made cover:
Liability
SV Creative is not liable for any damages arising from the use of design services, including but not limited to loss of revenue, profits, business opportunities, reputation, or data. The Designer is also not responsible for any claims, losses, or issues resulting from errors or inaccuracies in content supplied by the client, including written text, once the final design has been approved.
In the event that SV Creative is unable to complete the project within the originally agreed timeframe due to unforeseen circumstances (such as illness, family emergencies, or events beyond reasonable control), the client will be notified as soon as possible via email. A revised completion date will then be agreed upon. If the Client prefers to explore an alternative arrangement, this may be discussed and resolved between both parties.
Defamation of Character
By making any payment for a package or service from SV Creative, the client agrees not to post any slanderous or harmful comments on social media or third-party platforms that could negatively impact SV Creative's business. Any concerns should be addressed directly with SV Creative to be resolved. Under The Defamation Act of 2009, posts on social media or third-party platforms may be subject to legal action and potential fines.

- modify typography
- replace imagery
- significantly edit the artwork
